As we go about our daily lives we cannot side step the reality that we just get plain tired. We have days when we are exhausted. Days we are physically, mentally and spiritually wiped out!  Maybe it’s the one person in our congregation and or family that just sucks the life out of us. You know the one who is just plain needy. Energy vampires! They show up in all different shapes and forms. Maybe they take on the form of a person. Maybe its the paper work, the meetings, our health, the weather , you name it. We have those, well I’ll speak for myself,  days where we just want to close our eyes and wake up in the presence of our heavenly father.
All of us have cried out for the second coming of the Lord. Beam me up, get me out of here! To be in the presence of our Lord, how sweet it will be!
Being sold out for Jesus has its costs. We can become beat up, tired weary soldiers and fight this fight, with all good intentions, like it’s our fight! NOT!

Mathew 11:28-30 Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls.   For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.  His burden is light know them?
We all know the latter verses but do we really know them? We zero in on the word burden but we need to zero in on the simple words ….MY and ME.    That is Jesus and Lord. Father and God. It’s His burden not ours! He is the one who WILL make the burden light and manageable not us! His strength ..NOT ours. His protection. His grace. His love. His forgiveness. His wisdom. His power. His glory. His direction.
So what must we do? Just slip on his, perfectly fitted, custom tailored yoke guaranteed to disperse the load and learn of Him. Watch and soak up everything we possible can, of our heavenly father. Just like a small child who watches his father and thinks He is the greatest man who ever walked this earth. The small child who just trusts in his father who protects and loves him, just because, that’s what dads do!
And that’s what Dads do… Our God, our heavenly father cares for us infinity better than any flesh and blood person.
He is the great protector. And He loves His children more than we can ever imagine. Just like the earthy comparison he does not want any harm to come to us. He wants us to be victorious in all we do. He wants the very best for His kids.

Years ago,  I was on the Job site when the customer made a remark. “Is that a girl who is working with you?” Quickly I blurted back, with much authority ...”no that’s MY boy!” And she quickly apologized. Sure my son has long hair but I was quick to protect him from such a rude remark.

If we can be this defensive of the ones we love how much more do you think our father will be? Psalm 109 spells it out very clearly!

Psalm 109:1-5 O God of my praise, do not be silent; for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me; they spoke against me with a lying tongue And they surrounded me with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause. For my love they are my foes; but I am in prayer.  And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love
Psalm 109:17-20 Yea, he loved cursing, so let it come to him; he delighted not in blessing, and it was far from him. As he clothed himself with cursing, as with his robe, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.   Let it be to him as the robe which covers him, and for a girdle with which he is always clothed.
20 This is the reward of my foes from Jehovah, and of them who speak evil against my soul.
Psalm 109:28-31 They will curse, but You will bless; they arise, and are ashamed; but let Your servant rejoice.   Let my foes be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own shame, as with a cloak.
I will greatly praise Jehovah with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him among the multitude.
For He shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those who condemn his soul.
Romans 8:15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba, Father!

He will protect and give victory for ALL who call Him Father. He desires the best for His children. He wants the world to know the true and living God. His power . His might. We must believe in Him and know that He will deliver us. He will empower us to be victorious in all that we do. We must have strong unwavering faith in Him to know that defeat is not an option and that victory is the only result. If not than God is not God but merely a mortal man who is not up for the task in managing HIS household.

Are we willing to let go and let God do? Are we willing to push on and claim the Hill for Jesus, even if the odds are seemingly against us?

God has our backs, what more do we need?
