Larry Hesson - I am blessed to have the key role in the service of worship here at Life Victory Church. I believe the Lord called me into this area of ministry shortly after I gave my life to Him about 25 years ago. It has been said that hindsight is 20/20. To this end I can certainly identify with the Old Testament Patriarch, Jacob. Though his life was one of self induced turmoil and wrestling with God, he could confidently look back at his life and say: “…the God who has been my Shepherd all my life to this day” (Gen. 48:15b). So when I look back at the path that the Lord has led me on, I can see how He’s used different experiences and circumstances in my life to draw me to Himself and to develop the love and passion I have to worship Him through the gift of music. My prayer is that the Shepherd of my soul would be glorified in the ministry He has laid before me.
Ruth Hesson - I have been involved in music ministries since the age of twelve. My enjoyment of singing and knowing the true meaning of worship and praise music didn't come until I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at the age of Sixteen. I was so happy that the Lord found me a partner who also enjoyed worshiping as much as I do. The partner I am referring to is my husband of twenty years - Larry. We have key roles in the music ministry at Life Victory Church and have been involved with this ministry since the beginning of 2008. I am also involved with the nursery ministry at Life Victory Church as well. I have always loved children and the Lord surely has blessed my husband and I with a beautiful daughter named Janine who also has a heart for the Lord. She is presently in her second year of college at Appalachian Bible College in West Virginia. My goal is to get into a deeper relationship with Christ, see more people saved, and patiently await for his return.
